Overnight – a spin on AirBnB
A quasi Airbnb website and app has a group component that offers safe and secure private home lodging to LGBT individuals.
Pride Global is a group created within the quasi Airbnb website and app Overnight. The new private home sharing portal bills itself as a trustworthy friends and groups lodging forum.
We know, it all sounds a little confusing. But we’re here to break it down for you. Overnight acts as a portal that allows private homeowners and renters to advertise their properties for lodging.
Sounds just like Airbnb, right? Well, what sets Overnight apart from the well-known Airbnb forum is that the new private home sharing platform allows users to connect not only with strangers but also directly with friends and created groups.
What does that mean, you ask? Members of the forum can offer special rates exclusively to friends of theirs that are also on the forum. Members can even offer special rates exclusively to created groups on the forum.
Pride Global – an LGBT travelers companion
Which leads us to the LGBT exclusive home-sharing group. Pride Global is one of those created Overnight groups. Organizer Diego Prats LGBT Overnight group is meant to champion diversity and equality while giving LGBTQI individuals a safe and comfortable experience.
The way Overnight works is as more people sign up to the forum, the more potential for homeowners and renters to offer their place for lodgers. Currently, Pride Global has 1,592 group members with 24 homes available for rent — more members will hopefully garner more lodging options.
Another unique aspect of Overnight is that homeowners and renters can restrict who they share their homes with by opting to only offer their accommodations to their specified list of friends and/or groups.
Check out Overnight’s website for yourself and see if it’s a good fit for you. They also have an app available on Google Play and Apple’s App store.
