Currently, the world’s most famous basketball star Lebron James gave a shoutout to the transgender women that play the lead roles on the hit FX network television show “Pose” that aired this year.
On Lebron’s Instagram page, kingjames, he posted a multi-photo gallery consisting of a variety of women of color on August 8, 2018. The gallery started off with Superstar Beyonce’s September Vogue Magazine Cover image that in its own right has gone down in history as the first Vogue cover to be shot by a person of color since the existence of the magazine.
As you continue to scroll through Lebron’s gallery post, you see a slew of famous women of color magazine covers. Unexpectedly as you get to slide 9, the transgender women of “Pose” are front and center in their Out Magazine photo. And as if seeing their images on Lebron’s Instagram isn’t pleasantly surprising enough, the caption for the post truly shows the type of man Lebron just so happens to be!
Nothing in this world is more POWERFUL than Colored Women!! Thank you all for continuing to not settle and setting great examples in life for so many looking up to you for inspiration/guidance and love!! My daughter is watching! #WomenPower
Yes, Lebron has included trans women in his powerful women of color post. To have the biggest name in basketball today honor the trans women of “Pose” and call them inspirational is humbling and courageous. But learning about Lebron and his life, you would come to not expect anything less from the sports star.
On top of just opening a public school (I Promise School aka IPS) in his hometown of Akron, Ohio that guarantees college tuition to graduates among other benefits, the 33-year-old is a wholesome family man. Lebron is married to his high school sweetheart Savannah Brinson and they have three children together, two boys and a girl.
Other than the insults hurled at the three-time NBA champ from President Donald Trump and Fox News Anchor Laura Ingraham, Lebron is sitting lovely and doing quite well in life. There’s even talk that the unphased star is going to come out with a reality documentary series named after the insult Ingraham made of him on her show, “Shut Up and Dribble.”
