Check to see if your State’s Major League Baseball Team is hosting an LGBT pride event in 2018.
An unprecedented amount of Major League Baseball (MLB) teams are reaching out to their LGBT fans in 2018 — 23 to be exact as reported by outsports.com.
23 is an astonishing number of MLB teams hosting pride events being that the old-time sport’s league only has 30 teams altogether.
What’s even more delightful about this news is that 22 out of the 23 teams hosting an LGBT pride event will be hosting their events during pride month in June according to outsports.com.
2018 will be the first year the Cincinnati Reds will host a pride event. The Chicago Cubs will actually be hosting two pride events — one on June 10 and the other on August 26. And all 5 teams on the National League West Division will be hosting an LGBT event.
There are only two teams that have yet to ever host an LGBT pride event and will sit out on the festivities this year as well, the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Angels.
Here’s a list of all the schedule MLB team LGBT Pride Events for 2018, courtesy of outsports.com.
Some teams without an event now might add one later. For example, a White Sox spokeswoman told Outsports she thought the team was having some sort of LGBT event, but specifics have not been released.
