What better way to celebrate the opening day of pride month than with a vodka-packed rainbow treat!
Twisted Bar, a Facebook page that creates and posts fun tutorial videos on how to make interesting alcohol concoctions, has come up with a Vodka Rainbow Jelly Cake, which we coined the Pride Cake, just in time for Pride Season.
The festive pride cake takes some time and patience to make being that it takes roughly six layers to build the rainbow colors. But when all is said and done, it’s the right combination of liquid courage and gooey rainbow confection.
What’s truly great about the pride cake — well, on top of the fact that it’s vodka infused — is that the colors that make up the rainbow design are somewhat true to the pride colors itself.
Starting from the bottom to the top: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Purple. Not that far off from the actual pride colors of Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet (ROYGBIV) — only two colors off the mark, which the purple topper completely and inconspicuously makes up for in this adult pride cake.
Here’s the complete recipe and directions provided by Twisted Bar so you can make the jelly cake yourself.
