Guangxi new media center built in China has everyone doing a double-take at its striking resemblance to a certain male appendage.
The phallus-shaped building is remarkably gorgeous but the design has everybody giving a slight chuckle of amusement when they get a glimpse of the building from an aerial view.
The shape of the building probably wouldn’t have made it viral if it wasn’t for the firework display it had for its inauguration. It was a spectacle for the eyes. Forget that the firework show was amazingly gorgeous, the aerial view had everybody in a gasp.
Place a long vertical tower dead center in the middle of two circular dooms with flames spewing out of the tip of the tower while cameras are catching it from high above and you have a recipe for a viral sensation on your hands.
Don’t believe us take a look for yourself. There’s 14-seconds of the footage clear as day during the night as the entire building from bottom to top is illuminated with lights while fireworks shoot in the night sky from the tip of the tower.
It’s a majestic sight to see but it’s also quite hilarious when you really put your dirty mind to work and analyze what you’re actually looking at. We’re sure the designers and curator of the firework show had no idea what was about to happen.
But people far and wide got a picture that wasn’t quite an inside joke since they weren’t hesitant to share it with the world on social media. Tweeter Carl Zha couldn’t help sharing the photos with a “laughing so hard crying smiling face” back before the firework display even occurred.
Local media was said to be defending the building’s architectural design after streams of people were poking fun at it. According to a Nextshark.com article, the media insisted that the shape was inspired by Guangxi and Yunnan provinces’ beautiful terraced landscape. And it does but that doesn’t change a thing.
