The CrownHat is an adorable head accessory that has people turning heads.
The unisex CrownHat is the brainchild of menswear designer Michael Yuasa. The New York designer birth the “Jughead Crown Cap” as an original creation for a Vogue Italia series on custom hats. The one-of-a-kind creations were then photographed by Steven Meisel and styled by Marie-Amelie Sauve for a cover story editorial in the fashion magazine.
Next thing Yuasa knew, the CrownHat was in high demand and he started selling the have-to-have adorable hat individually — even creating a solo website just for the sale of the hat. The unique headpiece is a quite simple yet bold design inspired by the overly lazy and always hungry Jughead Jones character in the Archie comic.
CrownHat is a 100% wool felt hat with a felt shank button in the middle top part of the sleek black hat. The unique design only comes in one color, black, and two sizes made to fit practically every head size (American sizing: small/medium 6 7/8″-7 1/4″, circumference 21 – 1/2 “- 22 1/4 “ and medium/large 7 1/4″ – 7 3/8″, circumference 22 1/4″ – 23”).
The CrownHat is suitable for both men and women. There’s no right way to wear the playful hat. Cock it to the side, wear it to the front or lay it on your crown — it’s all up to what suits you best. Experiment and be playful with the charming hat.
The CrownHat can be purchased two ways. Visit the official website at crownhat.nyc or hop onto the online shopping website Etsy and search CrownHat in the search engine to find the hat along with customer reviews, which actually has some customer photo’s wearing the witty hat.
